Anastasia Ioannidi is a graduate Architect Engineer, Civil Engineer, and PhD holder from the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), where she completed her doctoral thesis with a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY).

As a Civil Engineer, she has more than ten years of professional experience in structural design, supervision, and construction of private projects.

Her research activity focuses on the interface between architectural and structural design, with emphasis on deployable and morphing structures, their geometric and kinematic behavior, and the exploration of new structural typologies for architectural applications.

She has participated in international research programs, conferences, and exhibitions and has carried out postdoctoral research within the framework of the European research program HORIZON Europe – HeritACT, funded by the European Commission.

Finally, she practices independently in Architectural Design, Design Studies, and the supervision and construction of private projects.
