Description of PSP

The Postgraduate Program "Reuse of Buildings and Complexes" has been operating since 2018 and is organized by the Department of Architecture of the Polytechnic School of the University of Thessaly.

The proposed postgraduate program aims at comprehensive interdisciplinary management of reuse issues and overall building and energy upgrades by proposing a specific educational, research, and methodological approach. This subject is truly relevant and contemporary for practitioners and presents a constructional, compositional, and research challenge for all specialties involved in technical projects. 

The postgraduate program provides the necessary knowledge and skills related to the adaptive reuse of existing structures, complexes, and areas, the constructional, structural, and energy upgrading of these, and the use of digital technologies across the entire spectrum of adaptive reuse.
